The fast fashion industry pollutes waterways with toxic dyes, increases the number of microfibres in the ocean through the use of fossil fuel-based fabrics, and impacts the land. Even though people are aware of this problem, they still believe that throwing old clothes away will make them magically disappear. Throwing clothes away adds to the problem, not solving it.
